Responsibilities:
  • Test case development & execution for WildPackets' network analysis products
  • Write automated test cases using PERL
  • Write and track defect reports through the defect database system
  • Interact with engineers to learn about internal programming interfaces & unit tests, then build on those to ensure relevant test coverage
  • Analyze the test process, develop strategies for testing products, help design test technologies and tools
  • Interact with appropriate lead(s)/manager(s) to prioritize work
Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree, or equivalent
  • 3 or more years of hands-on QA or product development experience on Windows applications
  • Working knowledge of testing methodologies and testing tools
  • Experience writing test cases/plans
  • Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting ability
  • Experience using and testing network applications and systems; candidate must have a working knowledge of network protocols and implementations
  • Experience with scripting environments and automated test tools such as Perl, SilkTest, etc.
  • Strong experience with Windows and at least a working knowledge of Linux
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills; must be a team player who can work independently
  • Desired Skills:
  • Experience installing and setting up network infrastructure including hardware such as routers, hubs and switches, 802.11 a/b/g/n devices
  • Experience installing and configuring networking components on Windows computers such as such as DHCP, HTTP, FTP, etc.

Position Summary:

Voted one of the Top Bay Area Companies to work for, WildPackets has a position open for a Enterprise Sales Representative. You must be authorized to work for any US employer. This is a remote position based in the Los Angeles territory.

Responsibilities:
  • Increase domestic market share for WildPackets' core solutions and services within a specified geographic territory.
  • Create and execute on a plan to develop business for WildPackets' products for all commercial businesses, local and state government entities in assigned territory.
  • Identify, qualify, and engage key groups and end-users within each account who would benefit from deploying WildPackets' products and services.
  • Work with "C-Level" executives to build a strong, value-based relationship with WildPackets.
  • Increase deal sizes and accelerate procurement within the organizations through a thorough understanding of enterprise account management and sales cycle control.
  • Accurately forecast opportunities to Sales Management on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Weekly forecasting reviews with Sales Management will be required to update account activity, plan execution, and market penetration.
Requirements:

Responsibilities:
  • • Research how decisions are made within the organization, what is the flow of information for IT purchases
  • • Initiate conversations with IT C-Level and IT decision makers, identify and understand business needs, qualify, manage inquiries and opportunities
  • • Qualify through discovery and present introductory solution information to key decision makers and set appointments for sales staff

The ideal candidate is an experienced Windows developer with a demonstrable record of translating business needs into software solutions. This person must be productive in a fast-paced development environment. They will know how to manage and meet software customer expectations. They will accurately scope projects, communicate progress, and deliver fully functioning code on time and under budget.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, code and debug new product features independently and as part of a team
  • Write design documentation for new product features.
  • Produce unit tests for existing and new code. Help design systems and integration tests.
  • Efficiently and effectively utilize source control and bug tracking software to communicate and interact with other team members.
Requirements:
  • United States citizenship
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience with C++ development in current Windows operating systems using practical design and architecture

WANTED: Product Manager: apply

Position Summary:

As Product Manager you will be responsible for crystallizing market, customer, and product requirements, as well as managing the entire product lifecycle of WildPackets' suite of OmniPeek network analyzers. You will partner with product development, support, and our sales team to develop a solid understanding of target customers and key user scenarios. With that knowledge you will build comprehensive product plans that prioritize product features, map out product direction, and exceed competitive offerings. You will be measured on successful execution of those plans. You will also act as a product evangelist, based on a thorough understanding of the product capabilities, competitive positioning, and technical considerations.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the program manager and engineering to ensure alignment of product development with product plans.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research. Develop models for product pricing, forecasting, and project/product profitability. Determine product packaging, pricing, and promotions.
  • Create product messaging, positioning, and content for use in collateral, packaging, press releases, PR, sales tools, blogs, webinars, contributed articles, whitepapers, direct marketing, events, advertising, and the WildPackets Web site.
  • Manage the creation of key marketing deliverables including competitive analyses, customer presentations, technical presentations, training, Q&A documents, demos, and case studies.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing communications to ensure that the overall product and brand vision of WildPackets are properly reflected in sales and channel strategies and tactics.
  • Oversee the creation and activities of the Customer Advisory Council, WildPackets participation in key industry and trade groups, and participation in other customer-oriented efforts.
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of product marketing experience with a proven track record in defining and launching high-technology software products
  • Broad experience and understanding of all facets of the marketing discipline including market research, product positioning, pricing, promotions, sales and distribution.
  • MBA or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to interact with customers, partners and foster cross-functional teamwork among Sales, Marketing, and Engineering
  • Strong technical skills with an ability to quickly assimilate new ideas and concepts
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation and communication skills
  • Solid understanding of network management market, deep packet inspection technology and network monitoring tools
