Position Summary:
**This position is based in the North East**
The primary focus of this position is to support customers with adopting and integrating our products. The SE is a key player in the sales cycle, providing excellent technical support from the pre-sales to the post-sales stage. This position is located in the Northeast area.
Responsibilities:
- The Sales Engineer (SE) is responsible for all technical, solution, and competitive aspects of the sale
- SE's must be both sales focused and technically astute
- They must be successful selling to Fortune 500 executives, and convincing C-level and director level executives of the technical merits of the WildPackets solution.
- The SE will work, in conjunction with Sales, Marketing, Support and Product Managers, to be the technical bridge between our Sales Representatives and their pre-sales customers.
- The SE will take ownership of the prime technical relationship with our pre-sales customers to drive customer satisfaction by proactively managing and delivering technical information to our customers both onsite, online, and via telephone.
Requirements:
- • 3 + years of enterprise class software selling experience to executives at Fortune 500 companies.
- • Experience mapping RFI/RFP requirements to software solutions.
- • Excellent interpersonal, communication, persuasion, presentation and writing skills.
- • Outstanding problem solving skills, including the ability to meet a business requirement with a technical solution.
- • Knowledge of TCP/IP, LANs and Network infrastructure.
- • Superior solution scoping abilities, using our existing solution and influencing new product development.
- • Experience with Microsoft Windows NT/2000/XP and/or UNIX (Solaris, Linux, AIX) Operating Systems.
- • Must be willing to work in a fast paced environment with multiple roles.
- • Bachelor's degree is a must.
- • Must be willing to travel.
- • Previous consulting experience implementing enterprise class software solutions.
- • In-depth knowledge of the IT asset management space.
- • Experience scoping, managing and executing customer pilots and POC's.

Responsibilities:
- Actively search for, find, develop, and close business in all non-named accounts within your designated territory via telesales and email
- Accurately forecast monthly and quarterly revenue results for your territory
- Candidate will be responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals.
- Continually develop pipeline for new business that equals a minimum of 5 times the amount of target revenue for your designated territory for each month and each quarter
- Manage an existing base of business and grow that business via sound, moral sales practices and strong relationship-building
- Maintain, on a daily basis, an accurate leads and prospect database including pipeline and forecast information
- Drive post-sales business and create new programs to market and sell creatively to an existing customer base within designated territory
- Team with technical resources as needed to further the sales process
- Employ company’s sales methodology accurately to insure solid forecasts and pipeline
- Work with channel partners, users groups, forums, and all others to build presence for WildPackets in the territory and promote business.
- At least 60 dials per day expected plus ongoing, daily email communication with accounts
- Field all incoming business contacts for the territory except for named accounts
- Provide strong pre-sales support and post-sales follow-up
- Effectively demonstrate the products
- Clearly understand and position the products to our prospect base
- Work with Team Lead to meet daily/weekly/monthly sales goals
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years sales experience, preferably in a high-technology industry
- Experience in a high volume, outbound warm and cold-calling environment
- Strong leads generation know-how
- Full Cycle Sales skills required including closing skills
- Track record of meeting revenue or performance targets
- Strong ethical approach to selling and business practices in general
- Maintain a pre-set minimum daily calling schedule
- Prove the ability to accurately position and demonstrate WildPackets’ products within the first 30 days of employment
- Demonstrate strong work ethic, reliability, aggressiveness towards meeting set goals
- Demonstrate ability to manage complex sales cycles
- Experience managing and closing $50k plus opportunities
- Proven territory-building background; solid telephone sales technique
