WildPackets, Inc. Introduces EtherPeek for Mac OS X at MacWorld

Company to debut version 4.1 and conduct live packet analysis training in their booth

WALNUT CREEK, California - January 5, 2001

WildPackets, Inc., formerly known as AG Group, developers of high-performance tools that deliver real-time, strategic information about an organization's network and Internet presence, today announced that it will unveil a new Mac OS X- compatible version of their award-winning packet analyzer EtherPeek at MacWorld in San Francisco. The new 4.1 release takes full advantage of the Aqua interface and adds several major enhancements to an existing robust feature set.

EtherPeek, WildPackets' flagship product, is a very popular software-based LAN analyzer with a great user interface and an affordable price. Having gained widespread acceptance as the packet analyzer of choice by IT Professionals who prefer the Macintosh as their key network management platform, EtherPeek now helps manage networks in tens of thousands of small, medium and large business enterprises, academic institutions, local and federal government agencies and organizations of all kinds.

Several years ago, in response to customer demand for ways to increase understanding of network management in general and to optimize packet and network analysis with EtherPeek specifically, WildPackets added protocol analysis training and consulting services to their list of services. The wide acceptance and success of WildPackets' Professional Services, including public and on-site training, has allowed the company to grow significantly.

To demonstrate the excellence of both the EtherPeek software and WildPackets' training courses, the company will conduct live, instructor-led packet analysis at regular intervals in their booth (North Hall, #3334) at the MacWorld Expo.
