Mobilian Corp. Deploys AiroPeek for 802.11 Testing

Wireless Product Developer Selects Comprehensive, Affordable WLAN Analyzer to Assure Standards-Based Communications Compliance

Walnut Creek, California - April 11, 2001

WildPackets Inc., developers of EtherPeek and other popular network analysis and management tools, today announced that Mobilian Corporation has chosen their AiroPeek WLAN analyzer to confirm the 802.11 functionality of Mobilian products. Hillsboro, Oregon-based Mobilian designs and develops analog and digital integrated circuits and host and embedded software for standards-based wireless data communications. They are active members of numerous standards organizations, including four IEEE 802 committees.

The Mobilian development team needed a WLAN analyzer to complete integration and testing of new products. In searching for a tool, they found AiroPeek, and became an early adopter of the beta version. Mobilian engineers in both Israel and California provided valuable feedback to WildPackets' engineering staff regarding required features for their application of the tool. Mobilian was then among the first companies to purchase multiple copies of the software when AiroPeek version 1.0 shipped in late February. Extended Maintenance purchased with the product will provide the company with automatic access to upgrades, including enhanced features they have requested for future revisions.
