WildPackets' Academy Rolls Out NAX Certification Tests

AATech Test first in a series towards Network Analysis Expert Status

Walnut Creek, California - May 3, 2001

WildPackets Academy, the training division of WildPackets Inc., developers of AiroPeek and EtherPeek protocol analyzers, today announced that the AATech test, the first of three examination levels towards achieving Network Analysis Expert (NAX) certification, is now available online at www.nax2000.com.

The NAX Certification Program, which replaces the CNX Program that was cancelled earlier this year, has been created as a vendor-neutral, industry standard method for demonstrating protocol analysis expertise.

NAX Certification progresses through three levels: Applied Analysis Technician (AATech), Protocol Analysis Specialist (PAS), and Network Analysis Expert (NAX). Each level includes Knowledge Exams that test understanding of technical topics and analysis methodology, and Practical Skills Tests that require hands-on use of the participant's own protocol analyzer to answer questions about a trace file downloaded from a test delivery system. Upon completion of any exam, a score report and educational assessment will be sent via email critiquing areas of technical strength, and offering suggestions for improving areas of weakness. CNX-certified IT professionals can transition to the NAX certification program at no additional cost.
