WildPackets Inc., developers of comprehensive, affordable network and internet management tools, today announced that they will join DIT Company, Ltd. to present the pre-release of AiroPeek v1.1, an upgrade of their popular wireless LAN analyzer, at the NetWorld+Interop Expo in Tokyo June 4th through the 8th. With AiroPeek, WildPackets is ideally positioned to support the emerging wireless networking market which, according to Cahners In-Stat Group, is expected to grow to $4.6 billion by 2005. Deployment of wireless technology has been particularly rapid in the Japanese market, and AiroPeek has enjoyed broad acceptance by major enterprises there. Earlier this year, WildPackets joined DIT to demonstrate AiroPeek's capabilities to the Cisco community at the CiscoWave & Networkers event, resulting in a site license purchase for AiroPeek by the Tokyo-based Cisco field support group. Networld + Interop Tokyo will provide a platform for the debut of AiroPeek v1.1, an enhanced version of the tool which features channel scanning/surfing, support for Cisco Aironet 350 and Symbol wireless NICs, control packets capture, the ability to apply WEP decryption in post-capture mode, WINS/NetBIOS Name Resolution, and more.
