WildPackets Previews AiroPeek™ v1.1 at Wireless Summit

New Release OF WLAN 802.11b Analyzer Featured at Santa Clara Showcase

WildPackets Inc., developers of AiroPeek, the industry's only affordable, comprehensive wireless LAN analyzer, today announced that they will preview AiroPeek v1.1, along with their NetSense Expert Analyzer with special wireless features, in Booth 314 at the Summit on Wireless Computing Product Showcase. The Summit, to be held June 13-14 at the Santa Clara Convention Center, focuses on the latest WPAN and WLAN wireless technologies.

With AiroPeek, WildPackets is ideally positioned to support the emerging WLAN market, which is expected to grow to $4.6 billion by 2005, according to Cahners In-Stat Group. "Every wireless LAN needs an analyzer to insure proper implementation of security measures as well as to provide standard diagnostics and troubleshooting capabilities." states Marketing Director Sheri Najafi. AiroPeek v1.1 features channel scanning/surfing, Cisco 340/350 Aironet Series, Symbol Spectrum, Nortel Networks e-mobility, and 3Com AirConnect wireless NIC compatibility, control packets capture, the ability to apply WEP decryption in post-capture mode, and has many new interface options over the 1.0 version. Additional adapter compatibility, in the form of drivers for Agere ORINOCO, Intel PRO/Wireless and Ericsson WLAN NICs, will be available within 60 days of the v1.1 release.
