WildPackets Takes Expert Message on the Road

New Version "Year of Living Expertly" Series of Free Wireless and Expert Packet Analysis Seminars Launches in February

Walnut Creek, California - February 4, 2002

WildPackets Inc., developers of comprehensive, affordable network management tools, announced the launch of their 2002 "Year of Living Expertly" Road Show, consisting of a series of two free half-day seminars focusing on expert packet analysis in wireless and wired networking environments. The Road Show will commence on February 8th in San Diego.

The first half of the education-focused Expert Seminar Series day will be devoted to disclosing the practical aspects of 802.11 engineering and helping attendees lay a foundation for effective design and troubleshooting in the wireless environment. AiroPeek NX™, WildPackets' enhanced 802.11 Expert Wireless LAN Analyzer that is scheduled to ship later this quarter, will be used as the key instructional tool. The second half will feature EtherPeek NX™ with its advanced expert system features and how to apply these features to real-world troubleshooting situations, from problem identification to resolution.

Mr. Joseph Bardwell, acclaimed speaker, author, protocol analysis expert, and WildPackets' VP of Professional Services, will be the instructor for the seminar series. "Network engineers are better equipped to optimize and troubleshoot their wired, wireless, and converged networks when they understand the core technology upon which those networks are built," states Bardwell. "Through this seminar series, I'm hoping to get that information out to as many people as possible and help raise the technical competency of the industry at large."

AiroPeek featured at Conference on Mobil and Wireless Security

AiroPeek will also be featured in two presentations at the MIS Training Institute's Conference on Mobile and Wireless Security taking place in Las Vegas, February 12-13. The presentations, developed by Mark Kean, a senior consultant with KeanInsight L.L.C., will demonstrate the key security role wireless analyzers play in a WLAN environment.
