WildPackets Relocates a Week after Fire

Walnut Creek, CA - July 24, 2002

WildPackets Inc., developer of award-winning network and Internet management tools, announced they have relocated their business to temporary locations after an early morning fire on July 15 destroyed their offices.

"Although saddened by the loss of so many memorabilia, including our recent trophies and awards for AiroPeek NX and EtherPeek NX, we are relieved that this occurred when no one was in the building," said Mahboud Zabetian, WildPackets' President and CEO. "WildPackets is already being rebuilt by employees who immediately began meeting in borrowed conference rooms, employee homes, parks and restaurants. We appreciate the countless offers of help from across the globe."

"Good forethought and insurance mean that our software has survived the disaster thanks to the multiple off-site copies, and today, only one week later, we are moving into a new building. The network and phones are in place and over one hundred computers are being delivered over the course of the next week for our team, which is intact and will soon be getting to the point of 'business as usual.' We resumed product shipments on July 19. We are working fast and hard to make certain there is no disruption of service to our customer and partner base," stated Zabetian.

"WildPackets' primary asset is our people. While this is a significant loss, it is neither devastating nor tragic. Our people are safe, and with them so is our technology, our leadership, and our commitment to customer service," said Janice Spampinato, WildPackets' Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing.

WildPackets' normal business (925.937.7900) and toll-free (800.466.2447) telephone numbers still function. If busy, please try again. WildPackets will continue to use their Walnut Creek mailing address during their temporary relocation to Bishop Ranch in San Ramon.
