WildPackets Announces Training and Certification Push for APAC

Focus on Creating Next Generation Expert Network Analysts in Emerging Markets

Walnut Creek, CA - August 13, 2002

WildPackets Inc., leading developers of award-winning, expert network management tools, today announced plans for expanding their market presence and reach in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. The initial push will include establishing authorized WildPackets Academy Training Centers, and preparing instructors to deliver Academy courseware. The courses, which will include "Network Troubleshooting Methods," TCP/IP Protocol Analysis," and "802.11 Wireless Network Analysis" will help network engineers increase the productivity of their networks, and prepare them for NAX (Network Analysis Expert) Certification. The NAX Certification Program incorporates an industry-standard method for demonstrating protocol analysis expertise.

"Train the Trainer" sessions will take place in late September in Singapore. Countries participating in this program include Korea, Singapore, Japan, China, and Taiwan. WildPackets' plan is to have 9 WildPackets Certified Instructors in the Asia Pacific by the end of 2002.

"Our recent Asia tour confirmed high demand for WildPackets products, training, and certification," states Janice Spampinato, WildPackets' Executive VP of Sales and Marketing. "The past few years have been spent building strong wired and, especially, wireless infrastructures in the APAC. Now that those networks are in place, there is a need to manage them, but a lack of expertise to do so. WildPackets' NX Expert analyzers are ideally positioned to assist network support personnel in assuring round-the-clock network productivity. Our training and certification programs, in concert with our software, will help build a highly-skilled, professional IT force in the region."
