WLAN Analyzer Now Easily Launched from RF Director™ Platform

Walnut Creek, CA - September 24, 2003

WildPackets Inc., innovators in advancing network analysis technology, announced availability of the Aruba Remote Adapter for AiroPeek NX, allowing WildPackets’ award-winning WLAN analyzer to be launched from Aruba’s RF Director platform. Aruba and WildPackets worked closely to develop integration between their products. This partnership extends AiroPeek NX’s remote capture and troubleshooting functionality by allowing customers to capture and analyze packets from WLAN switches.

"For some time, we have recognized the value that AiroPeek NX brings to managing centralized wireless LAN architectures," said Keerti Melkote, Aruba co-founder and VP of Product Management and Marketing. "Partnering with WildPackets to incorporate their full spectrum of advanced wireless security and analysis into RF Director was an early priority."

"More and more, Enterprises are demanding better network management information and security. Furthermore, network administrators have increased their focus on packet-level analysis across applications and want a solution that ties into an integrated platform and manages the entire wireless network," said Aaron Vance, wireless and security analyst at Synergy Research Group, Inc. in Phoenix

The Aruba Remote Adapter for AiroPeek NX is available from Aruba Wireless Networks. Aruba also provides support for this adapter, and installation and usage notes by contacting support@arubanetworks.com.
