WildPackets Names New ExecutivesSeasoned team leads growth as OmniAnalysis v5 is releasedWalnut Creek, California, July 25, 2007 – WildPackets® Inc., a leading provider of network and application analysis solutions, today announced the expansion of its executive management team and the release of OmniAnalysis 5, WildPackets’ platform for network and application assurance. Rocky Offner joins WildPackets as vice president of engineering and Tony Barbagallo comes on board as vice president of marketing and sales. "The combined experience, collaborative style and management depth that Tony and Rocky bring to WildPackets will accelerate the adoption of our products in new markets and position us for the next stage of growth," said Tim McCreery, President and CEO of WildPackets. "I’m very pleased to welcome them to our team." As vice president of engineering for WildPackets, Rocky Offner is responsible for all areas of product design, development, quality assurance, and production. Prior to joining WildPackets, Offner served as vice president of engineering at Dantz and EMC after its acquisition of Dantz in 2004. Previously, he was VP Engineering of Equilibrium, and has held engineering and management positions at Light Source, Pixar, and The Santa Cruz Operation. Offner holds four patents for color measurement and imaging systems. As vice president of marketing and sales, Tony Barbagallo is responsible for the development and execution of the company's worldwide sales and growth strategies, product management, and corporate communications. Barbagallo comes to WildPackets from GroundWork Open Source, where he served as vice president of marketing. Previously he was vice president of marketing and sales for Dantz, where he oversaw the return of the company to profitability and subsequent acquisition by EMC. Prior to Dantz, Barbagallo was a group manager at Microsoft via their acquisition of VXtreme, where he served as vice president of marketing. He has also held sales and marketing positions with EVault, Mentor Graphics, Wind River, and Sun Microsystems.
