WildPackets Expands Worldwide Presence with Sales and Development Office in China

Operations will support increasing demand for network analysis solutions in the region

Walnut Creek, California, September 17, 2007 – WildPackets® Inc., a leading provider of network and application analysis solutions, today announced the opening of its subsidiary office in Beijing, China. The new office will increase the sales, marketing and development presence in the promising Chinese business market.

“With a population of 1.2 billion people, China is growing at the rate of 9% annually,” said Mahboud Zabetian, chairman and founder of WildPackets. “We continue to see development in the Asia-Pacific region, specifically China, which has warranted the need for our office expansion. It is imperative that we have frequent communication with our partners and our customers based there. WildPackets China ensures that products will be best suited for customer needs and will enhance how they analyze and troubleshoot networks.”

Zabetian will be in Beijing to officiate the opening ceremony. As the company begins its natural growth in the area, it will continue to hire local talent and utilize resources from nearby entities, which WildPackets views as a crucial driver to this region.

WildPackets China has an initial staff of seven employees, and has appointed Zhou Kai as the country manager. Kai joins WildPackets with more than 15 years of experience in the technology industry. Before joining WildPackets, Kai was the country manager for Internet Security Systems, where he created and sustained sales success within China and led the accounting, marketing, sales and technical teams. Prior to ISS, he was the branch manager for Network Appliance in their Beijing office.
