WildPackets Taps Industry Veteran Jim Laird as Vice President of Sales


Walnut Creek, Calif. - September 4, 2008 – WildPackets® Inc., a leading provider of network and application analysis solutions, today announced that veteran technology executive Jim Laird has joined the company as VP of North America Sales.

With more than 20 years in sales and business development, Laird comes to WildPackets from Otago Corporation, a sales and marketing consultancy focused on helping technology companies expand into new markets.

“Before I joined the company, it was very apparent in my due diligence that WildPackets drives the innovation in network analysis technology from 10GbE to Ethernet to 802.11 wireless to VoIP," said Laird. “The upcoming year will be an exciting time for WildPackets as we build upon our impressive customer base that includes 80 percent of the Fortune 1000."

Prior to his work at Otago, Laird held executive positions with HCORP and Zacson Corporation. He holds his Bachelor of Arts from University of California, Davis.
