OmniAdapters

The OmniAdapter is a PCI-X card that supports up to 2 full-duplex or 4 half-duplex connections. Taking advantage of a PCI-X bus that clocks up to 133 MHz, the OmniAdapter provides high-performance connectivity for monitoring and troubleshooting Gigabit networks.

OmniAdapters can be configured during manufacturing to support multiple configurations of SX, LX, ZX, TX or copper (Ethernet). It’s available with Four SFP cages, Four RJ45 10/100/1000Base-T ports, Two RJ45 10/100/1000Base-T ports and two SFP cages, or Four SFP cages for 1000Base-SX or 1000Base-LX optical Ethernet, and one RJ45 port for 1000Base-T copper.

Fine-Tuned for Gigabit Analysis

OmniEngine Enterprise has been fine-tuned to facilitate processing of Gigabit traffic loads while performing real-time troubleshooting. Adjustable settings in the Performance View allow network engineers to select optimized performance for the type of analysis required, whether performing real-time analysis, monitoring statistics, or saving all packets to disk for post-capture forensic analysis. OmniEngine Enterprise can capture concurrently from multiple OmniAdapters, enabling engineers to analyze Gigabit traffic on different segments simultaneously. For instance, engineers can use OmniEngine Enterprise to analyze traffic on both sides of a router to track packet flows.
