Overview

Packet Trace Conversion Tool ProConvert is the ultimate protocol analyzer interchange utility, supporting two-way LAN/WAN/WLAN packet capture file interchange between over 30 different protocol analyzers and packet capture formats. ProConvert is highly recommended for those with more than one protocol analyzer platform! Your traces can now be converted from one vendor's format to another, allowing you to view packets on a totally different analyzer from the one on which they were captured. Wireless, Ethernet, Token Ring, and FDDI networks are supported in a single program.

WAN to WAN trace Conversion!

ProConvert makes conversions between Wide Area Network traces. Support includes two-way conversion of traces from ISDN, Frame Relay, and X25 over T1/E1 to and from WAN analyzers such as OmniPeek, Sniffer Pro, Sniffer DOS, HP/Agilent Advisor, Agilent Network Analyzer, and Acterna/WWG Domino.

2-way wireless trace conversion!

ProConvert has support for 2-way 802.11 wireless trace conversion for OmniPeek and SnifferPro® Wireless traces. This 2-way feature allows you to convert wireless traffic into an Ethernet equivalent and Ethernet traffic into a wireless equivalent. ProConvert also supports Acterna's Domino and LinkView PRO, Agilent's LAN Analyzer and Internet Advisor LAN, Finisar’s (formerly Shomiti) Surveyor, Network Instrument's Observer, Network Associates SnifferBasic/Pro and NetXray, and tcpdump. Raw frame dump

Using ProConvert, you can output your trace files in a raw hex format for import into other applications or for reading frame data with your own application. Several options exist for flexible output.

Multiple file conversion

ProConvert will convert more than one trace file simultaneously to a different file type. These files to be converted must all be of the same type. Select the files you wish to convert, drag them onto ProConvert, and they will be converted to the new file type.
