Simultaneous Network Recording and Real-Time Statistical Display

Taking advantage of WildPackets industry-leading capture-to-disk technology, TimeLine network recorder displays critical network statistics in real-time, including network utilization, unicast/multicast/broadcast, VLAN/MPLS, protocols, packet sizes, while capturing all network traffic to disk for forensics analysis. Network top nodes (talkers) and protocols are displayed for every statistical graph, making it much quicker and easier to troubleshoot the high-utilized networks.

TimeLine network recorder provides 100% visibility into converged, voice and video over IP networks by displaying critical media statistics, including call quality, and call vs. network utilization while capturing network and media traffic to disk for further analysis. Top nodes (talkers) and media protocols are also displayed in real-time, helping to find the trouble calls and streams faster.

Rapid Forensics Search and Retrieval

TimeLine analyzes historical network traffic and rewinds data quickly for troubleshooting, security attack analysis, human resource and policy compliance, application performance analysis, and business transaction analysis. The TimeLine graph allows visualization and interaction with statistics generated from large amounts of network data, providing an overall basis for performing detailed searches of specific time ranges. Several pre-defined forensics search templates, as well as customized search options are available, making searches easy and fast.
