The OmniPeek Product Family comprises OmniPeek network analyzers and consoles, as well as distributed OmniEngines, which analyze data at remote locations on the network. OmniEngines OmniEngines are distributed into the network where they collect and process data, making the network smarter. Platform Services Filters, alarms, authentication and communication. Interfaces Packets captured from Ethernet NICs, 802.11 NICs, WildPackets’ Gigabit, 10 Gigabit and WAN analyzer cards.

Intelligent Data Transport OmniPeek analyzes network traffic at the engine and intelligently coordinates the analysis results that are exchanged with the console to ensure maximum efficiency. OmniPeek Analyzers OmniPeek Analyzers function as consoles to multiple remote engines and have easy-to-use interfaces. They can also perform local network analysis on a portable basis. Note: OmniPeek Enterprise Connect does not contain local capture and analysis.

A Network Architecture Designed to Support Busy Enterprise Networks

The difference between a collection of tools and a genuine distributed architecture is the way components work together to solve a problem without creating adverse effects. OmniEngine performs full seven-layer packet analysis—including expert analysis—locally, so the only traffic crossing the network is the specific analytical results (not a full packet stream) requested by the console.
