With the Omnipliance Portable, WildPackets technology can be used to directly access network segments that are difficult to reach but are in need of network troubleshooting.

Software Options

OmniPeek Connect and OmniEngine Enterprise

OmniPeek Connect allows users to configure and connect to the remote locations across the network. Using OmniEngines to capture and analyze data and OmniPeek Connect to view real-time results, network engineers can rapidly troubleshoot faults-even faults occurring at remote locations. OmniPeek Connect allows post capture local analysis and supports all network topologies -Ethernet, Wireless, Gigabit, and 10 Gigabit.

OmniPeek Enterprise provides centralized expert analysis for all networks under management. Using OmniPeek Enterprise’ intuitive user interface, network engineers—even junior staff—can quickly analyze faults from multiple network segments, drill down through multiple layers of analysis, and pinpoint problems that need correction.

Hardware Options

The following options are available to improve the performance of the Omnipliance Portable:

OmniAdapters

The OmniAdapter is a high performance network analyzer card that supports up to 2 full-duplex or 4 half-duplex connections providing advanced monitoring and troubleshooting of Gigabit networks.

OmniAdapter 1G is a four-port, PCI-E network analyzer card available in the following configurations:

• Four SFP cages
• Four fixed RJ45 ports (10/100/1000)
• Two SFP cages and two RJ45 ports (1000)

OmniAdapters 10G

WildPackets’ OmniAdapter 10G card is a full-duplex, high performance network analysis card that has been optimized for monitoring and inspecting traffic on a 10 Gigabit Ethernet network.

The two-port, OmniAdapter 10G provides hardware accelerated packet tracing and dynamically configurable filtering together with high precision timestamping.
