Omnipliance

The WildPackets Omnipliance is a turn-key hardware and software solution that gives network engineers unprecedented, real-time visibility into remote network segments. Each Omnipliance network appliance runs WildPackets’ OmniEngine and sends real-time analytics and monitoring results to a central OmniPeek console.

The Omnipliance is designed for rapid, convenient deployment. The system can be installed, configured, and online in under an hour. An LCD and keypad on the front panel enable network engineers to enter configuration information such as IP addresses without the use of a keyboard or monitor. The Omnipliance comes with OmniEngine Enterprise and the Microsoft® Windows® 2003 Operating System already configured.

By installing Omnipliances in data centers and wiring closets, network engineers gain immediate real-time visibility into local and remote network segments – without any lengthy or costly network reconfigurations or upgrades. The Omni Wireless Sensor

The Omni Wireless Sensor is a small footprint embedded system that monitors the health and security of your 802.11 wireless traffic in real time. By running a specialized version of an OmniEngine on a small form-factor remote device, the Omni Wireless Sensor is able to extend the OmniPeek Product Family to the heart of your wireless network. By deploying an Omni Wireless Sensor with every WLAN, network engineers gain real-time visibility into WLAN traffic, from corporate headquarters to the smallest remote offices.

The Omni Wireless Sensor is based on the OmniEngine, but it is designed specifically for wireless capture and analysis. The Wireless Sensor captures packet streams, analyzes them, and reports results to the OmniPeek console. The expert analyses, filters, notifications and alarms included on the sensor are capable of independently alerting a network engineer of a potential situation out on the network which may need to be investigated. This capability, combined with a distributed deployment of OmniEngines, allows network engineers to monitor and analyze the entire network, all from a single console.
