Intel® PRO/1000 MT Quad Port Server Adapter

Return to top of page What are the differences between the WildPackets GACs and the Intel 4 Port adapter?

With the Intel MT 1000 adapter, each port on the adapter acts as a separate adapter and captures each gigabit stream separately. The GACs merge both streams of the full-duplex traffic using synchronized timestamps.

Return to top of page I have an Omnipliance and I purchased an Intel 4 port adapter, will I need to install any drivers for the Intel card?

No, you will not need to install any drivers for the Intel card. The Omnipliance will recognize and install the drivers for you.

Return to top of page How do I determine which channel the traffic is coming from?

In the packets view you can right-click on the column headers and add the column ‘channel’ to see which port the packet came in on. You can then filter by channel number.
