No, the WAC does not support ATM.

Return to top of page What protocols and decodes are supported?

PCMCIA T1/E1 supports:
HDLC, PPP, Frame Relay, X.25, ISDN BRI and PRI Q.921 / Q.931

Return to top of page I can capture traffic but the packets don’t appear to look right?
  1. Check the WAN Interface Settings to be sure the correct protocol is selected.
  2. If you are using Larscom scrambling, install the latest driver from C:\Program Files\WildPackets\OmniPeek\Driver (version 2.2.0.106.) Go into the Advanced Settings for the card and enable Larscom Scrambling.
  3. Be sure the advanced properties of the physical adapter match your network.
  4. Double-check the cables and the monitoring tap setup.
  5. Check the LED indicators on your monitoring tap.
  6. You may be capturing custom protocols, please contact support for further assistance.
Return to top of page How do I change the network speed of the WAC?

If you are using OmniPeek or a remote engine, it is not necessary to change the speed of the adapter. OmniPeek and the engine will sense the connection speed at full line rate for WAN connections.

Change network speed on the engine:

  1. Select a WAN adapter from the Adapters view of the Remote Engines window.
  2. Open the remote Adapter Options dialog in one of the following ways:
    • Right-click the adapter and select Options.
    • Click the Adapter Options icon.
  3. Click the Network Speed tab.

Change network speed on the console:

  • Choose Capture > Start Capture.
  • Click New Capture from the Start Page.
  • Choose Monitor > Monitor Options.
  • Click the Adapter view.
  • Right-click the adapter and choose Network Speed.... The Network Speed dialog appears.
